Locality  ?   On Mt. Dana proper. At about 11,800 ft. the steep rise levels out to a large plateau area. This declines gently toward the west.  
Habitat  ?   A spring wells out of the loose metamorphic rock, runs about 200 ft. on the surface and disappears again. Both banks of this stream are densely lined with this plant. Area 1000 ft. above tree line. Nearby plants; Arabis Covillei, Lewisia sierrae, Draba Lemonii. Leaves green with red borders. Petals white with rose veining.
