NE-SW section, Hilgard Branch, 9700′ (trib. to Bear Crk), 2 W Mt. Hilgard (13,351′). Lodgepole Forest along stream and on N side the large meadow; Lodgepole with some Junipers and P. monticola up N slope to Subalpine Forest, S slope ledges bear Lodgepoles, P. monticola, few Tsugas. Polygonum at about 10,000′, half way up N slope toward wall meadow on the crk., dry soil.
