Habitat  ?   Fire burned this area last year. Rocky, sandy, washed out from winters rain canyon bottom. At check dam (man made waterfall). Associated with: Baccharis salicifolia, Malosma laurina, Artemisia californica, Marah macrocarpus, Brickellia californica, Mimulus guttatus, M. cardinalis, Ricinus communis, Hirschfeldia incana, Gnaphalium purpureum, G. californicum, G. canescens microcephalum, Arabidipsis thaliana, Sisymbrium orientale, Nicotiana glauca, Chenoposium botrys, C. berlandieri, Sonchus oleraceus, Phacelia grandiflora, P. cicutaria hispida, Rubus ursinus, Solanum douglasii, Pterostegia drymarioides, Mentzelia micrantha, Malacothrix saxatilis tenuifolia, Camissonia californica and Lotus strigosus. Growing on cliff of canyon wall.
