Habitat  ?   East-facing 1-2 year old timber clearcut unit in mixed conifer forest, with much ground disturbance from the timber harvest; with Pteridium aquilinum, cirsium arvense, Symphoricarpos mollis, Ceanothus prostratus, Carex brainerdii. These plants abundant in parts of the clearcut; rays bright white, disk flowers yellow-orange.
