This bench had Juniperus californica as the most dominant species, with some Pinus monophylla and Yucca whipplei, which almost all succumb to a fire in the fall of 2004. Along this bench and down (south) into canyon had a lot of trash left from shooting (rifle range), and dumping. Winters rains had a impact, with strong debris flow. Post fire bloom was very nice at this time. Flowers purple tube and lobes, yellow throat.
