Take County Road 404 southeast from Pittville area to Little Valley, then Road 3 N05 (USFS 22) about 15 miles to Black Hole and junction with Road 3 N06; follow the latter about one mile just onto Lassen National Forest land and walk north about 50 yards to low escarpment. T3 N R09E S3 W of SW

Habitat  ?   Plants in crevices of south- and east-facing escarpment about 20 feet high and 200 feet long, in yellow pine and juniper woodland, with Artemisia tridentata, Prunus virginiana, Purshia tridentata, Clarkia lassenianus, Crepis acuminata, Erigeron inornatus var. inornatus, Phacelia heterophylla ssp. virgata, Elymus elymoides, Bromus tectorum, Poa bulbosa, and Pseudoroegneria spicata.
