Locality  ?   Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; along the broad ridgeline between Slapjack Creek and Indian Creek, 1.5 air-km south of Woodleaf; about 75 m east of Road 1 N03. T19N, R7E, NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of sec. 16. Clipper Mills 7.5' quad.  
Habitat  ?   Broad open ridgetop with scattered Ponderosa pine, incense cedar (thinned and brushed about 8-10 years ago), areas of short Arctostaphylos viscida, Ceanothus lemmonii; rocky soil, maps as serpentine/peridotite but probably transitional to other metamorphic rock types.
