Mojave Desert: Northcentral Mojave Desert region: Road that runs between the northwest portion of the Alvord Mountains and low hills northeast of Coyote Lake. Few miles south of the Fort Irwin Military boundary line.
Collected along west side of roadside. Within the low, gentle hillsides, with sandy canyons draining southeast toward the road. Sparse Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Psorothamnus sp., Ephedra sp., Hymenoclea salsola, Lepidium fremontii, and Atriplex hymenelytra shrubs. Annuals had Nama demissum, Malacothrix glabrata, Phacelia distans, Eriogonum thomasii, Monoptilon bellioides, Erodium texanum, Eremalche rotundifolia, Guillenia lasiophylla, Chorizanthe rigida, Salvia columbariae, Eschscholzia minutiflora, and many more. Growing within sandy canyon bottom, and next to the road.
