Habitat  ?   Steep northwest-facing slope +- shaded by Douglas-fir; lots of shrubs (Vaccinium ovatum, V. parvifolium, Notholithocarpus densiflorus, Rhododendron occidentale, R. macrophyllum); moss-covered slope with lots of herbaceous plants. Flowers bright blue; several +- decumbent stems from caudex; plants occasional and scattered along the trail.
