Habitat  ?   Rocky convex surfaces of annual grassland with scattered blue oak. Thin soil over Tuscan Mudflow volcanic bedrock; with Avena fatua, lots of short Petrorhagia dubia, plus dry Micropus californicus, Navarretia tagetina in bud, Bromus hordeaceus, Selaginella hansenii. Abundant, sometimes dominant or co-dominant with Avena fatua.
