Locality  ?   Sierra Nevada; Southern Sierra Nevada region: Scodie Mountains: Kiavah Wilderness in the Sequoia National Forest; Upper reaches of Cane Canyon. West from Horse Canyon Saddle. From the trail to Willow Springs from Horse Canyon Saddle. Area called Lower Yellow Jacket Springs. Follow canyon north toward Yellow Jacket Springs, but veered off the canyon to the right, just south of Yellow Jacket Springs.

Habitat  ?   Growing on small bench and slope of bench in bottom of the canyon. Dry sandy open area. White flowers. Mostly Pinus monophylla forest on surrounding slopes. Area had strong visional evidence of cattle impacts. But the bovines were not at this site at this time. All the Gilias were in nice bloom at this time.
