Habitat  ?   In sunny opening within Sugar pine- and Douglas-fir-dominated Mixed Conifer Forest. On steep SW-facing outcropping of blocky-slatey rock, with sparse Incense cedar, Quercus vaccinifolia, Penstemon deustus, Eriogonum nudum, and Eriogonum umbellatum. 100 or more plants; several stems from base, mostly in fruit, with characteristics of E. petrophilus ssp. viscidulus.
