In compacted, dry soil along road to campsites. In sunny opening bordered by red alder woodland and coast redwood / douglas-fir forest. Associates: Plantago lanceolata, Trifolium repens, Taraxacum officinale, and Hordeum. Elevation sea level; aspect flat.
