Associate species Juniperus californica, Eridictyon tomentosum, Yucca [Whipplei] whipplei, Eriogonum spp., Artemisia californica, [Ceonothus] Ceanothus spp., Ephedra spp. 
Notes  ?   Much branched shrub 1 1/2 to 7 1/2 feet high. Seedlings and young growth [virorous] vigorous.
