Habitat  ?   Dominant trees: Pinus ponderosa, P. lambertiana; Pseudotsuga taxifolia, Quercus keloggii, Q. chrysolepis, Arbutus menziesii. Understory of shrubs on dry slopes sparce, mainly: Rhamnus, Arciostophylos, Ceanothus, Rhus diversiloba. Along streams or moist areas: Alnus rhombifolia, Acer macrophyllum, Cornus nuttallii, Corylus californica, Amelanchier pallida. Herbaceous plants sparse.
