Habitat  ?   On and near rocky creek-banks. 
Notes  ?   Common but not abundant. Inconstant in characters supposed to mark the variety and to distiguish E. robustum A. Br. as a species. There are usually two rows of tubercles. Rosettes are present, but may be almost obsolete, and the groove in the sheath-teeth may be evident or obsolete.
