Notes  ?   Here in dense clumps, the rootstocks interlaced. As a rule, but few plants are found growing together in the coniferous forests, where it is found in the more open places. It is found from southern California to Washington, and occus on the mountains of western Nevada at nearly 8000 feet elevation.
