Locality  ?   Liebre Mountains, NW Los Angeles County. Parker Mountain and ridge to the SW: SW of Acton and NNE of Ravenna. Elev. given as Collected between 3670-4131 (summit) feet elevation.  
Habitat  ?   Desert Transition Chaparral on decomposed granite substrate; Juniperus californica common on lower slopes of mountain; area recently burned. On N and NE slopes just below the summit. Intermixed with C. perfoliata intermontana, and C. parviflora parviflora. Also associated with Opuntia basilaris basilaris, Yucca whipplei caespitosa, Haplopappus linearifolius, Emmenanthe penduliflora, Ephedra nevadensis, Dichelostemma pulchellum, Eriogonum fasciculatum foliolosum, Corethrogyne filaginifolia, Juniperus californica, Salvia apiana, etc. 
Notes  ?   Grayish, fleshy annual.
