Notes  ?   Hrusa notes: ″The plants identified as G. o. subsp. bizonata that are disjunct in the Kern River Canyon of Tulare Co. are somewhat divergent from typical subsp. bizonata; they differ in their fewer and smaller, or absent, cauline leaf lobes; in this they are similar to subsp. exilis. The basal rosette tends to have fewer leaves as well. These are minor differences to me and I have annotated the specimens as subsp. bizonata, but include them separately in case someone might be interested.″
