The specimens of G. sinuata (and inconspicua) were labed as G. sinuata by A. Grant in 1949, but much change has occurred since. This austrooccidentalis subsp. is described as uncommon, & records are from [Upper] Cuyama Valley. Our 1963 coll. is from Lockwood Valley. Mixed collection on sheet; Hrusa (2014) has confirmed determination for A and B; B was last determined (5/9/1975) by Alva Day as Gilia latiflora subsp. cuyamensis.
