Locality  ?   Comanche Hills along Tejon Creek, 1 mi above its mouth.  
Habitat  ?   Growing in gravelly whitish clay along eroded banks and slopes. Most colonies growing with or near Coreopsis calliopsidea. Apparently no colonies at elevations higher than this along Tejon Creek. Lower Sonoran Grassland. 
Notes  ?   Rays white; discs, anthers yellow. Leaves somewhat glaucous and thickened. Small colonies.
