Habitat  ?   In sandy soil. The type was from the ″northern portion of the Sierra Nevada, California, Lemmon, Mrs. Austin.″ 
Notes  ?   Professor Greene has given us a very good description of teh plant, except the fruit. In our specimens the akene is 3 mm. long, reddish, the pappus white, 8 mm. long, very finely barbellate.
