Habitat  ?   Open conifer forest of Pinus contorta murrayana, P. monticola, Abies magnifica. Dry draws and small dryish meadows within a +- level area. Very dry and dusty at this time. Some low spots in meadows or draws had a little bit more mesic environment. Associated plants include: Erigeron glacialis, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Penstmon newberryi, Thalictrum fendleri, Phacelia hydrophylloides, P. mutabilis, Lupinus fulcratus, Sphenosciadium capitellatum, Bistorta bistortoides, Mertensia ciliata stomatechoides, Senecio integerrimus major, Solidago multiradiata, Drymocallis lactea, Cymopterus terebinthinus californicus, Perideridia parishii latifolia, Elymus elymoides californicus, Poa wheeleri, P. bolanderi, Agrostis idahoensis, Stipa occidentalis californica, Glyceria elata, and Deschampsia elongata. Growing along trail, on dry slope.
