Habitat  ?   This rather dry meadow from a short distance appears to be a solid blue for an acre with this plant. 
Notes  ?   Plants to 3.5 dm. high, spreading some with 30 flowers stalks; inflorescences bearing 2 - 4 whorls; corollas with sky-blue lobes and blue-purple tubes, lower lip pubescent within for 2 - 3 mm. with yellowish hairs, upper lip glabrous; calyx lobes recurving both in bud and fruit; filaments purple or whitish; style purple.
