Habitat  ?   Rolling summits and draws dominated by Quercus wislizeni, Q. x morehus (just leafing out), Q. kelloggii, with scattered intermixed Ceanothus leucodermis, Rhamnus californica, Ribes roezlii, Quercus chrysolepis, and Sambucus mexicana. Openings small to broad (decomposed granite; occasional outcropped rocks) dominated by numerous herbaceous annuals and perennials. Often at margin of oak scrub margin. 
Notes  ?   Shrubs, scattered locally; sepals burgundy-red, reflexed; petals white, erect with involute margins. Flora of the Liebre Mountains
