Habitat  ?   In dense turf with moss, Epilobium, Antennaria, in seepage of springs, northwest plateau of Mount Dana, in unglaciated metamorphics. 
Notes  ?   Abundant, forming dense low turf (1 inch high). Lvs. ovate acute, 2-3.5 (to 5) mm. long. Sepals 5 (sometimes 4), deeply cleft to base, minute (about 1-3 length of sepals). Stamens 8-10. Styles 3. Mature capsule 2 (to 3?) mm. long. Seeds minutely rugulose, about 0.5 - 0.7 mm. long.
