Habitat  ?   Growing in alkaline soil in an annual grassland. Several hundred plants in this population. Associates: Amsinckia menziesii var. intermedia, Avena barbata, Bromus spp., Delphinium hansenii ssp. ewanianum, Dichelostemma capitatum, Hemizonia pungens, Hordeum depressum, Lasthenia fremontii, Lactuca serriola, Lomatium utriculatum, and Triteleia hyacinthina,
