--Dr. J.W.Blankenship, one-time botany student here under Prof. Greene, Ph.D. of Harvard, Professor of Botany in the University of Montana at one time, now lives on a walnut ranch which he has started on the slopes of Mt. Konocti, Lake Co. He has come to Berkeley for the winter to work in the Herbarium. He says that he has been divorced by his wife; he is soured upon marriage, and says further that in the matter of the partnership he himself did everything for the common good but that it did not avail. he has one daughter now married.
