No. 5375. Mirabilis laevis. See p. 91. Calyx white, its 5 lobes broadly notched with divergent lobes. Stamens 5. Style & stigma one! Ovary superior, 1-celled. Invol. cup narrow, 5-toothed. Woody at base, 12 to 18 in. high. Infrequent but not rare. Wish-bone Bush (Miss Bragg).
No. 5376. Thamnosma montana. Spreading bush 1 to 1 1/2 ft. h. Not infrequent.

No. 5382. Eriogonum inflatum. Annual or perennial!!! Outer per.-segs. broadly lanceolate, the scarious border almost none. Inner per. segs ovate, attenuate at apex, membranous with a green midvein. All segs. yellowish, canescent on back. Det. O.K. acc. S.G.S.
