say 10 to 15 years old. This young stand has a little young Yellow Pine mixed with it. "Intake" station on the Western Pacific R. R., referred to above, is at the beginning of the Big Bend, North Fork of the Feather River. Outtake is a point referred to in these notes as the power house where the water comes out of the pipes at the lower end of the Big Bend. It is not a railway station and this is simply my name for it [to mark] a geographical point. It is only a short distance below Bidwell station of the r.r.
