Dear Dr. Simmons: -
A Merry Christmas to you Sir! and many more of them! A Happy New Year with all health and prosperity!

advice. Breaking in without ceremony upon the dull routine of the heavy farm life and leaving us with freshened hopes and quickened aspirations and ambitions!
It has come to me in some way that you are rewriting the History of Southern Methodism on the Pacific Coast. That is well. But I wish that you might write the history of your own life, of the part that you had taken in the progress of civilization in our beloved California and record a thousand interesting personal experiences, scenes in various counties, habits and customs of the people. Can you not do this? It would be read and reread, not only by Methodists but by Californians generally for it would have the widest interest!
With kindest regards,
Faithfully yours, Willis L. Jepson
