No. 2211. Digitalis purpurea L. Foxglove. Common about the Devilbiss Ranch. Very handsome -- 3-5 ft. h. Anther cells divergent, finely mottled. Lower side of corolla throat splotched with white and with a brown dot in the centre of each splotch. Corolla very shortly lobed, the upper lip shorter than lower. Calyx-lobes distinct, the uppermost smaller than the lower. Flowers on a plant sometimes white.
