Triceratium kolbei Hustedt ex Simonsen
Atlas & Cat. Diatom Types Hustedt: 127, pl. 208/1,2. 1987. (L)
Type: BRM H4/20
Type locality: Russia: Kusnetsk (fossil)
[The name was first used by Hustedt 1930 (A. Schmidt's Atlas: pl. 372: fig. 4), but according to Robert Ross (letter to PCS of 30 April 1997) lacked a description or diagnosis and was therefore not validly published previously to Simonsen. The 1930 use, however, includes the phrase "Schalenzentrum leicht eingesenkt"]
