Type locality: Shumagin Is., Alaska to Straits of Juan de Fuca
[Alleged new combination of Callithamnion arbuscula var. pacificum Harvey 1862 but that variety is stat. nov. pro C. pikeanum; S & G state differences between typical C. pikeanum and this variety. Must be considered new because S & G exclude type of C. pikeanum, but then it becomes superfluous because of the inclusion of Ceratothamnion pikeanum f. laxum Setchell & N.L. Gardner 1902 [P.C.S.]
