Rivularia cornu-damae ('Cornu Damae') Roth
Cat. Bot. 1: 212, pl. 6: fig. 2. 1797. (L)
Type locality: UK: England: Sussex (fide Dillenius)
Collector: Th. Manningham
The Later Starting-point rule applies to the type of Rivularia, but not to this species, which is accepted to be a green alga. The space in the original two-word epithet was first removed by Bory, who replaced it with a hyphen, which is allowed by the Code. Bory's choice must be followed.
