[based on Halosaccion hydrophora sensu Harvey (excl. syn. Ruprecht). Agardh capitalized the epithet, indicating that he considered Hydrophora an indeclinable noun (following Harvey's example on his printed label). Ruprecht, however, regarded the epithet as an adjective (see Alg. Ochotensis 1840: 91), so correction to hydrophorum may be required.]
