macromorphologyLow annual, densely strigose with narrow leaflets early, later sparse-hairy w/ oblanceolate leaflets; flowering spike short, mainly sessile, weakly exceeding leafy crown, fls bluish, fading pale yellow-red. Occasional in coarse sands of wash channel. Pls distinct from sympatric L. concinnus var. orcuttii, occupying different niches, no intergrades or variants observed in either taxon.Common name: Pale desert lupine.
