macromorphology1.5 m perennial, forming a dense patch in a waste area between a parking lot and the levee. Reproducing both vegetatively and by seed; clearly spontaneous and naturalized. Stems erect. Fls. pink with purple stigmas. Also seen later along a trail at the east side of the mouth of the river c. 1 km away.
