Locality Sweetwater Mtns, west flank, Mt Patterson, about 1/2 mile from summit.
Elevation 3230 m
HabitatAlpine fell-field, above timberline, rhyolite talus slope, west-facing, in moist soil pockets. Perennial, grass-like in appearance. Basal leaves dull green. About 50 plants. In scatterd clumps across the slope. Often in snow-flush zones. Associates: Penstemon davidsonii, Senecio pattersonensis.
