HabitatWash is open sandy and rocky substrate; alluvial benches covered by alluvial scrub, incl. Lepidospartum squamatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, etc. Riparian scrub (Salix lasiolepis, Baccharis salicifolia) occurs along stream. Common rhizomatous perennial; flowers blue. Margins of recently dried pool near roadside, west of RR track. Disturbed, +/- compacted soil.
