Locality Verdugo Mountains North side of mountains. Hostetter Mountain Way, off of La Tuna Canyon Road. Near a seep just along dirt fire road on north-facing slope.

HabitatThis Bromus population is growing above the seep on a steep, dry cliff and slope that appears to have moisture creep with other species that like this habitat; mostly Dudleya lanceolata, Melica imperfecta, Cercocarpus betuloides, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, and Gnaphalium californicum. Hillside above this road cut has Quercus sp. (shrub), Rhus ovata, and Ribes malvaceum.; Perennial.;
