Locality Near Echo Camp on the Lincoln Highway, in open places above Echo Lake in dry granite soil. The principal tree is Ahies magnifica. Pinus Murrayana aboun is in low places about meadows with an occasional P. Jeffreyi on exposed ridges. Common undershrubs are Ceanothus and Castanopsis.
