HabitatDesert chaparral dominated by Adenostoma fasciculatum, Prunus ilicifolia, and Ericameria linearifolia. Associated species: Lasthenia california, Bromus rubens, B. tectorum, Vulpia microstachys, Poa secunda, Achnatherum speciosum, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Cryptantha decipiens, Yucca whipplei, Salvia dorrii, Juniperus californica, and Ceanothus leucodermis.
