Locality Lavic Mountain, southern end of the Cady Mountains northwest of Ludlow (north of Interstate 40) along powerline/pipeline access road.
HabitatSteep rocky volcanic hills surrounded by relatively low gradient alluvial bajadas, including extensive areas of desert pavement, with scattered exposures of whitish, reddish, or greenish tuff-like deposits. Vegetation an open scrub of Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Hymenoclea salsola, Encelia farinosa, and abundant development of annuals.
