Locality Liebre Mountains region: Antelope Valley, at foot of Portal Ridge along Lancaster Road, just south of the junction with Highway 138, west of Fairmont.
HabitatFlat to very gently rolling valley floor and adjacent shallow sandy wash. Sandy loam soil derived from decomposed granite. Annual grassland with Bromus spp., Vulpia spp., Erodium cicutarium, Gilia spp., Malacothrix californica, Lasthenia californica, Plagiobothrys spp., Eschscholzia californica, Secale cereale, etc.
