Delphinium parryi subsp. purpureum (? -> before species), Jason A. Koontz 2012-05-29
Notes<coords cont.: , S8>; Chaparral hillsides had burned sometime between 2-4 years ago. Area has some neat looking sedimentary formations. Very dry area, with small dry draws. But Redrock creek, north of the flat, and a drainage northeast of the flat are larger, and have very rocky, washed out channels, with plant species of Quercus agrifolia, Platanus racemose, Salix lasiolepis, S. exigua, S. gooddingii, Datisca glomerata, and Mimulus guttatus. Dry slopes have plant species of: Juglans californica, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriodictyon crassifolium nigrescens, Prunus ilicifolia, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Ceanothus cuneatus, Rhamnus ilicifolia, Yucca whipplei, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Salvia mellifera, S. leucophylla, Solanun xanti, Ericameria linearifolia, Garrya veatchii, Cercocarpus betuloides, Paeonia california, Antirrhinum multiflorum, Sambucus mexicana, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, and Dendromecon rigida. Growing along dry slope above the trail. Dark purple flowers. Maybe introgession with D. parryi.;
