Locality Transverse Ranges; San Gabriel Mountains region: Road started west of Mt. Lukens, down (Southeast) to a little west of Earl Canyon Road. (Angeles National Forest Road surveys. Roads, 2N76.1 and 2N76.2).

HabitatSteep slopes vested with thick chaparral, with talus rocky openings and bedrock openings. The main ridge running east was in the process of being heavily graded on north side (fuel break). Associated plant species include: Pseudotsuga macrocarpa, Quercus wislizenii, Q. chrysolepis, Q. durata gabrielensis, Yucca whipplei, Eriogonum fasciculatum, E. elongatum, Eriodictyon crassifolium, Penstemon centranthifolius, P. grinnellii, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Lessingia filaginifolia, Castilleja applegatei, Ceanothus leucodermis, C. integerrimus, Solanum xanti, Lotus crassifolius, L. scoparius, Adenstoma fasciculatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, Arctostaphylos glauca, A. glandulosa, Garrya veatchii, Keckiella ternata, K. cordifolia, Rhamnus californica, Ribes malvaceum, Clematis lasiantha, Mimulus aurantiacus, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Lepechinia fragrans, Rhus ovata, Helianthus gracilentus, Brickellia californica, B. nevinii, Erigeron foliosus, Prunus ilicifolia, Sambucus mexicana, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Hazardia squarrosa grindelioides, Lonicera subspicata denudata, Marah macrocarpus, Silene laciniata major, Galium angustifolium, Phacelia ramosissima, Poa secunda, Melica imperfecta, Achnatherum coronatum, Agoseris retrorsa, Salvia columbariae, S. apiana, Orobanche fasciculata, Stephanomeria cichoriacea, S. virgata and Cirsium occidentale californicum. Along side of road, a small patch.
