Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. At meadow and shallow pond complex in cirque 0.15 km southwest (up-drainage) of Hellgramite Lake; northeast side of Sierra Nevada crest; Lakes Basin Recreation Area. At pond edge.

HabitatAt meadow and shallow pond complex. Meadow opening surrounded by open rocky forest of red fir, mountain hemlock, western white pine. At pond edge and along drainages, usually growing among 1 m tall willows. Plants 15-25 cm tall.
