HabitatOn W-facing slope by dirt road, in dry crumbly shale soil under chamise shrubs with dried moss, Ranunculus hebecarpus, Madia exigua, sparse Bromus hordeaceus, Clarkia sp., and other low-growing annual herbs. Also in adjacent recently burned chaparral area in network of openings with Salvia columbariae, Dicentra chrysantha, Camissonia hirtella, Nemacladus montanus, and diverse herbaceous spp.
