HabitatEXPOSED, SOUTH-FACING GRANITIC SLAB AND BOULDER FIELD. ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO INDICATION OF RECENT FIRE IN THE VICINITY AREA, THE NEIGHBORING HABITAT HAS ABUNDANT SIGNS OF FIRE (E.G. BURNED LOGS, CHARRED BARK AND TWIGS). THE DOMINANT TREE SPECIES IS PINUS JEFFREYI, ALTHOUGH THE FEW INDIVIDUALS PRESENT SEEM TO BE YOUNG (I.E.. SMALL DIAMETER, AND ABOUT 8M TALL). DOMINANT SHRUBS ARE QUERCUS VACCINIFIOLA AND ARCTOSTAPHYLOS NEVADENSIS. DOMINANT HERBS ARE STREPTANTHUS TORTUOSUS VAR. ORBICULARIS AND KECKIELLA BREVIFLORA SSP. BREVIFLORA. SLOPE IS 35 PERCENT. ASPECT IS 194 DEGREES. SURFICIAL GEOLOGY IS GRANITIC. COWARDIN SYSTEM IS UPLAND. SOIL TEXTURE IS SANDY LOAM. SOIL IS RAPIDLY DRAINED. PLANT ALIANCE IS PINUS JEFFREYI WOODLAND ALLIANCE. PLANT ASSOCIATION IS PINUS JEFFREYI/QUERCUS VACCINIFOLIA WOODLAND.
